I love the pink/red in some of the leaves of my Aureum.
That veigning is wonderful M. It could be a perfect fan for Japanese lady in her Kimono.
Lol, your remarks always makes me smile!
Then that makes me happy M.
A little one:
I have a little one too @Xi-feng. It's such a cute little thing.
Aww, cute is definitely the right word for the little ones, isn't it? I love the colour on yours - what a lovely lime/yellow!
@LoverOfMaples and @Xi-feng, I think they are both wonderful guys. And cute is exactly right.
June 15th 2021 and my Aureum is coping very well, with the heat. It was 29°C in my garden yesterday.
24th June 2021 and my Aureum has enjoyed the cooler wetter weather of the last two weeks. It is now giving a lovely show this morning.
Aureum at the end of June:
Looking good Xi as it approaches it's difficult time of the year.
4th July 2021 and my Aureum is loving this weather here in England this year. I wonder if that means a good Autumn show as well as these colours now.
I love that delicate red edging on the leaves, D!
Thanks Xi , I hope it lasts.
Beautiful colors D.
Thanks D. Happy 4th July.
5th July 2021 and as requested by Kurt, here is another view of my little Aureum.
Observing a branch in different light over the last couple days
morning deep shade
midday full sun
afternoon dappled light
18th August 2021 and I'm living the colours this year on my Aureum, it really has enjoyed this Summer weather. Rather more than me tbh, lol.
Mine is in its second year after I bought it, and I keep it mainly in the shade.
Like many of my Acers, I think it's beginning to show some form of chlorosis. It's growing well though, and I'll repot it in a larger pot next spring. But I must buy some chelated iron...
a month left of summer
Since mine is still young and was in a not so good shape when I bought it last year, I've kept it under the shade of big trees. The leaves are still green :
Big fan of this Acer, seems to get better and better each year…
Not fully leafed out here yet, but looking beautifully golden as it catches the late afternoon sun
