Is anyone here on the forum who feels they want to sell some seeds? Already have tried these: argutum barbinerve buergerianum buergerianum ssp. ningpoense campbellii campbellii ssp. sinense campestre capillipes cappadocicum ssp. lobelii carpinifolium caudatum ssp. ukurundense circinatum cissifolium crataegifolium x conspicuum davidii davidii ssp. grosseri diabolicum elegantulum erianthum fabri glabrum glabrum ssp. douglasii griseum heldreichii ssp. trautvetteri henryi hyrcanum hyrcanum ssp. stevenii japonicum macrophyllum mandshuricum micranthum miyabei miyabei ssp. miaotaiense monspessulanum negundo negundo ssp. mexicanum negundo ssp. interius oblongum oliverianum oliverianum ssp. formosanum opalus opalus ssp. obtusatum palmatum palmatum ssp. amoenum palmatum f. atropurpureum paxii pectinatum pectinatum ssp. forrestii pectinatum ssp. maximowiczii pensylvanicum pentapomicum pentaphyllum pictum pseudoplatanus pseudoplatanus f. purpureum pseudosieboldianum pseudosieboldianum ssp. takesimense pubipalmatum rubescens rubrum rufinerve saccharinum saccharum ssp. grandidentatum shirasawanum shirasawanum ssp. tenuifolium sieboldianum sikkimense sinopurpurascens spicatum stachyophyllum sterculiaceum ssp. franchetii tataricum tataricum ssp. aidzuense tataricum ssp. ginnala tataricum ssp. semenovii tataricum ssp. slendzinski tataricum ssp. torminaloides tegmentosum triflorum truncatum tschonoskii tschonoskii ssp. koreanum velutinum var. glabrescens
The annual membership fees for the Maple Society is only £17. Each year, there's seed exchange programme (£8 to cover postal expenses). Last year, I got about over 40 packets of different maple seeds. Too late for this year, but think about it: Membership - the Maple Society (not including the North American Branch) | The Maple Society Personnally, I don't have many seeds, but I can send you some (say about 20) for free from an Acer palmatum 'Sengo Kaku' if you're interested (PM me if you want some) Vänliga din, Alain K.
Wow! You grew all those maples from seed? That's a fantastic list, well done! I'd love it if you would share your source for these, there are several species in there which are really hard to find seed for. I have never heard of a source for sinopurpurascens, for example, there don't seem to be many female trees around. I also am happy to send you seed, (for free), but next year. It's a little late for this year but anyway it was a terrible year. I have a few perhaps that you haven't tried yet. ;) I've been looking for fabri seed, would really appreciate a wild (not hybrid risk) source if you have one. -E
