Re: acer Rubrum Candid ice Hi Alex, Properly Acer rubrum 'Candice Ice' or 'Candy Ice,' the latter seems to be preferred although I bought mine under the former name. I don't have any photos, will try to take one next year. The first flush is unremarkable, but the second flush of growth is pink on green dusted with white, small leaves giving the impression of a candy coating, especially as the sun shines through it. A very beautiful maple, I am waiting to see if the fall colour is interesting, looks like yellow for now. -E
