Not in ground yet so hard to tell how vigorous this is, Esveld says 4m in 10 years. Although there is good root development, not much up top yet, so I'll hold it in a 12l pot until fall 2015. Interesting leaves, much like 'Palmatifidum' (Lorbergii) AFAICT from pictures. Apparently 'Donig' is a synonym.
Planted it in Nov 2015, after 7 years in ground it has reached a little over 2m. Not an enthusiastic grower, but also in a dry and very poor spot. Some years it puts on only an inch or two of growth, so I think it is very likely to remain shrubby. Not sure how long it will take mine to hit 4m, but obviously not going to make it in 10 years. In full sun and with zero protection, it has none the less resisted very well after the misery of 2022, a historical drought coupled with historical heatwaves. So although it doesn't look pristine, it has all it's leaves and is still ticking away, unlike many supposedly rugged maples. A very tough customer indeed, apparently.
