    These two Acer pensylvanicum snake bark maples growing next to each other in the Carolinian Forest have the same accession tags.

    But the one in the left panel has a dieback problem, if it fails later there will be at least one of the same accession left.

    Here's a different accession not very far from the first one posted. I was surprised by the different leaf shapes on this tree.
