Hi I am a new member, hoping to get some helps from you gurus... I knew there there quite variety of leave colors posted on this forum, would appreciate if anyone can let me know how I can purchase a plant or seeds of the type that is "purely" white with green tinged? Thanks a lot! PS. I am in Vancouver
maple variegated are propagate by graft and seeds not avaible;(or very rare) for me purely write not exist ! but is interesting "Butterfly " Beni Shichi Lenge"maple Pictum Tokiwa Nishiki have any leaves total white this my experience!alex
Thanks a lot for your reply, Alex! If the leaves are completely white, the plant would be priceless in my viewpoint. I have been searching for it for a long time!
Tokiwa nishiki may have the occasional leaf that is completely white, but it is mostly green cut and sprinkled with white. I think this is what Alex is saying. A. buergerianum 'Nusatori yama' is meant to nearly white, but is very rare and very hard to grow. Says Vertrees 3rd Ed. "The leaves of this delicate plant are almost entirely white." You can search this forum for information about it, too.
