This is an ok tree, this is my second year with it. It has a nice soft yellowish white and green leaf. Seen to like it more in shade. Pretty close to other similar trees. maybe this year it will do more for me.
I only know of it as Ap 'Shiro' . From what I saw on the intenet, Shiro fu mishiki looks all yellow when this stree has speckles of yellow/ white
Here is the spring color for 2012. It has a nice lime yellow green color with red orange on the margins. It does stand out ath this time of year.
Shiro is white and nishiki brocade, don't know fu but it's logical a speckled (variegated) version of one called 'Shiro' would have nishiki added on.
The tree is a speckled white. As for the name, it is what is on the tag from the grower. It is a tree in my inventory, I can not say it is one I would plant in my garden but I try and plant trees which stand out
