This is another tree that took time for me to fully appreciate, and for a while was just another green. I acquired it from Brian Upchurch about 10 years ago. I like the layered appearance. The fall color is a deep rose and reflects that layered look as well. The name means "posts in the river to which boats are tied", which sounds a little strange to me and makes me smile.
@campbtl, it sits very well under the broadleaf trees. The green also has so much depth. I've not seen this cultivar before, so this was a treat.
