Who can help? I just bought an Acer Palmatum Red Select Japanese Maple having fallen in love with its bright red spring colour. I want to plant it with my taupe garage in the background setting the colour off nicely. Having done some on-line research, is it true these trees turn green with red in Summer? And if so do they present overall as green or plum from afar. (Or is the green detail only visible up close? She said hopefully.) I'd appreciate anyone's help before I plant this beauty. I don't want a green tree.
