Red Emperor is a nice middle sized upright red tree. It is similar to a Bloodgood but with a much darker purple/red leaf. It does not seem quite as aggressive of grower. It has a bit more of a wider shape.
It has a nice dark red/purple color in spring. It has a little bit of a funny growing habit but it does make a good upright red tree.
