So it appears that I have yet killed another Acer. Planted this one 2 or 3 years ago. Appeared perfectly happy less Fall, but this Spring looked dead. On closer inspection there is some new growth near the base of the tree, but I don't see any budding or new leafs farther up. What should I do? Give it a quick burial? Prune? Or, leave it and pray that it recovers. I have successfully grown 4 other Acers in my back garden, but this is the second one that has died in my front garden.Perhaps it is Verticillium Wilt? Or, maybe just too wet.... Anyway, what should I do?
