I'd like to comment on the unusual leaf texture of this cultivar. The leaves are very leathery and somewhat wrinkled. This tree seems to tolerate more sun and heat in the southeast US than most.
Managed to find myself one of these at the maple nursery I visit once a year. Hadn't seen it before so thought I'd get one and see what it's like for a year or two.
