Acer palmatum 'Milligan'

unusual variegation on this one. Originally bought as a 1 year graft and grown quite well and been trouble free.

@LoverOfMaples, good afternoon D, yes I have, it is a stunner. Unfortunately @Jaybee63 has not been on the forums for quite a while.
I'm sure he would give an update on his, but I think M @ROEBUK also has one, though I maybe wrong there.
I think the photos are of early Autumn, it would be interesting to see Spring and Summer colours. Although looking at the date of the photos it may have been Spring. Only Jaybee63 can tell us.

 

Can't believe this didn't hit the market running. I can't find anything online on it. I guess I'll start asking around to see if it made it over here.

Perhaps put it on the Cheering ourselves up with maples thread. Over 40k views someone should know where to find one in the US.

 

10th June 2021 and the leaves of my Milligan. Yes, Fathers day is in 10 days, but the gifts are arriving now. I'm very happy.
Nowhere to put it though, Lol.

 

This one really changes through the season and is something special and improves with age.
I am sure you will be delighted with the new addition

 

Thanks J, I'm sure I will. It was seeing your photos from June 2019 and D @LoverOfMaples comments that made it go on my wish list. My children always keep an eye on that, so they can have ideas for gifts, bless them..

26th June 2021 and my Milligan leaves are rather special to me. I really want this one to do well. Especially as it was a fathers day gift.

Thanks for that, it's nice to put a face to the lady I spoke to the other week when I ordered mine.

 

So much variation on this one, a really great cultivar which just hasn't stopped growing since I got it. I'm looking forward to what autumn brings from it very much.
