Acer palmatum 'Matsu kaze'

11th April 2021 and although we had hard frosts over the last few nights my Matsukaze is looking droopy but doing OK.

 

28th April 2021 and I wanted to show how slow everything is this Spring. It's officially the coldest April in 60 years here in the UK.

 

12th May 2022 and my Matsu kaze is now opening up fully in the warmer sunshine this morning.

 

1st June 2021 and it's getting hot. So first thing in the morning is the best time for a photo of my Matsu kaze.

 

24th June 2021 and Summer colours are now here.

30th June 2021 and my Matsu kaze is putting out some good second flush leaves now.

 

20th April 2022 and a very droopy leaf this morning, but this is what it should look like when leafing out. A very pretty time IMO.

 

3rd May 2022 and the leaves of my Matsu Kaze have opened up.

 

7th May 2022 and after some chat last night, here is my Matsu kaze a few minutes ago. Summer colours definatly on the way.

 

17th May 2022 and this is how Matsu kaze looks just before going into Summer. I do love the subtle yelliw and pink colours of this cultivar.

 

23rd May 2022 and I wanted to show how this one keeps these amazing colours. I'm aware of a few members preparing shopping lists atm..

 

16th June 2022 and in 29°c heat and rising, my Matsu kaze is doing OK. Gets hotter tomorrow though, urghhhh !!

 

6th November 2022 and a few nice reds this morning on my Matsu kaze.
