Had anyone else got one of these? I've never heard of it but my usual garden centre which has increasingly got more unusual cultivars in, did have one small komyo ji nestled in amongst everything else.

I didn't buy it because I can't seem to find any pictures or info about it anywhere. I'm tempted to call in the morning and get them to put it aside for me!

This is more or less the only picture I can seem to find, looks like potentially great fall colours. I think I will give them a call tomorrow and ask if I can come back at the weekend to grab it! beautiful-fall-color-komyo-ji-kyoto-japan-105501321.jpg

I ended up buying the Komyo Ji as I've never seen it anywhere, so it can be a further experiment of it's strength and I'll start posting in the spring as it's already dropped leaf.

Hello - how’s yours getting on?

Here’s mime - I picked my one up at a great small chain nursery in the Worcester area a couple of years ago - they had some great less frequently seen cultivars. Photo taken just now.

It leafed out really nice and strong, I quite like the fresh green it has and a lovely leaf shape. I've just got it in the nursery pot at the moment next to a Fireglow I intend to put in the front garden at some point, so the two together contrast really well!
