Acer palmatum 'Kawahara Rose' arrived to me this morning. Now people might say, "why did you post a photo of it here in that condition". Well my answer is simple, to allow members to see it's progress over the next few years from a baby to hopefully a lovly tree. My next posting will be Spring 2021.

1st May 2021 and as promised last year that I would show the progress of my new Kawahara Rose as it starts to leaf out. Here it is today. What pinks it's displaying! Amazing IMO. This will turn a pink and beige over the coming few weeks. I will post updates as it goes along it's journey.
I'm very happy with this one so far.

Thanks Luke, as you know it was new for me in 2020, so to see it like this is such a bonus. I'm loving it.

29th May 2021 and a month on and my little Kawahara Rose has the most subtle pink leaves now. This is such a pretty cultivar.

Just an update. My 3rd Kawahara Rose died. This is a rather weak cultivar, much the same as Taylor. So I thought I would share my thoughts. Isobel is a much stronger tree and almost identical to KR.
