Acer palmatum 'Karasugawa'

I haven't posted this before as it's very small, but I wanted to get a thread going to post the new leaves that have just opened in the last 48hrs. Also for D @LoverOfMaples, as we talked about it a few days ago on the forum.
This is a compact tree with very small leaves, so will suit a patio in a pot etc etc.

More updates over the coming years to follow.

After talking on the forum yesterday (12th May 2021) about my Karasugawa, I thought I should add an update on how this little one is progressing.

 

29th May 2021 and as promised I will keep the photo diary going, as this cultivar is showing a lot of interest by members.

 

25th June 2021 and my little Karasugawa is still keeping the variegation nicely
.

 

14th July 2021 and an update on my Karusagawa after a very wet start to Summer. I'm very pleased with it.

 

19th July 2021 and I'm posting this one due to a request.

 

12th April 2022 and my variegated Karasugawa is underway. If you like these types of maple, then I thoroughly recommend this cultivar. So much interest all season long.

 

30th April 2022 and I was asked about the variegation and if it was stable. So I thought I would post a photo to show if it is. Not bad IMO.

 

14th June 2022 and an update on my Karusagawa as it's getting rather warm now. Not too bad IMO. But I do give it a lot of shade.

1st July 2022 and new fresh second flush leaves after a couple of days rain.

 

8th May 2023 and my Karusagawa looking pretty this morning.

 

30th March 2024 and my Karusagawa doing very nicely in the late afternoon sun.
