Acer palmatum in Thailand?

    Will Acer palmatum live in Thailand, Or is it too hot?

    Probably just need some shade and more water than ususual.

    The mountainous regions in northern Thailand might be cool enough to grow Acer palmatum, but the rest of the country has an unsuitable climate.

    Acer laurinum is native there, may be others the forestry service would be aware of.

    Honestly they can barely survive Los Angeles' sun but if you water them enough maybe they'll do fine.
    I am not sure how it will be for them during the dormant seasons though in Thailand.
