Thanks so much for the info! Yes, I intend on planting this in the ground eventually but for now, it lives on my balcony. I appreciate the quick reply.
This Hogyoku thread was started in 2007. Does anyone have any follow-up photos? I'm excited as I'm purchasing my first a.p. hogyoku from Whitman farms this week, and would like to see what the progress has been for everyone else.
You will not be disappointed with this cultivar.the fall color is beautiful and I'm also in love with the leaf shape. Also, most of my trees come from Ms. Lucile.
'Shigarami' update Pics are from 11/1-2. With the crazy weather we have had my trees that held their leaves though the storms changed colors very quickly.
Kind thanks for posting! Yours is so pretty, and yes, the color and leaf shape are the reason I wanted the Hogyoku. Mine was orange for the fall, but it didn't last long. Such a strange summer with our extreme heat here, it's no wonder.
Hey D @Acerholic. I need help. I missed labeled this tree. This is 'Shigarami', can you move it over to its correct thread?
