this incredible variegated maple is more interesting in spring the leavere are purpureum,in june the color change and is deep green with variegation pink ,white ,and purple .amazing!!! position is total shade by Guy Maillot pics date 1-07-2011
very instable , easy revert and dead in open soil -the best way is cultivation in pot in sheltered place-is necessary prune the branch without varietions but not every branch ,one branch without variegations must remain beacuse this cultivar (like Maimori,Izu no Odoriko etc.)is weak and one green branch ensure the correct chlorophyll photosynthesis-now i have another Hinode nishiki but not see again variegations ... :( not prune before the sprout!!
