Update: pic taken today
It looks very attractive where you have it planted next to the hydrangea, neighbouring maple and house colours behind.
6th April 2022 and after some bad overnight frosts my First Ghost has started to leaf out very slowly, but it is starting.
Well, mine is leafing out also, but it needs a pruning job. I let some of the branches get too long. Now 20 years in the ground and quite a big boy. I have been meaning to get some photos. Today and tomorrow the sun will be out and no rain. So I will endeavor to take time from the storm clean-up to get a few photos.
Look forward to seeing a photo of yours S. It must be a very mature specimen at 20 years in the ground.
My First Ghost two hours ago
So very ghostly Alex, beautiful.
19th April 2022 and way behind Alex there in Rome, but the leaves are coming.
pics last week,my F.g.is now 2.50 large x 2.50 high meter; after 14 years
Wow, stunning Alex, we don't seem to see mature ghosts very often.
Can I second that from N @D97x7 Wow!!!
Much smaller than Alex's but looking like a cloud of ghosts at this stage of spring.
How perfectly put M and loved the photos.
25th April 2022 and mine are opening up now. It does love the early morning sunshine.
30th April 2022 and people ask why I have so many ghosts. Well I hope my photo gives the answer. They are just wonderful to stare at.
26th May 2022 and a month on, here is my First Ghost going into Summer.
8th June 2022 and the deep dark greens of Summer are now here for my First Ghost.
12th June 2022 and only a few days since my last posting, but with the weather going to get very hot, I thought why not add a photo before it struggles.

Fall colours October 2022
4th May 2023 and not the first ghost to leaf out this year. But now it's here I'm very pleased with the colours.
Redder than 'Como', but somewhat similar.
These are the typical spring colours and form we see here, in a fairly shady location beneath taller maples. Pic taken this evening after thundery showers:
20th May 2023 and in full morning sun, my darker First Ghost upper leaves, with the more shade paler green leaves below.
