Wonderful pic of your Fairy Hair. Thanks for sharing. Sam
I found my last years photo of the fall color of my fairy Hair, it was a nice dark red purple color
This tree is thriving in its location and looks awesome when the light hits it. When the Sequoia I planted behind it gets bigger, its darker color green should help my FH to show up better.
Here is the color in september
The leaves on this tree always amaze everyone who see it
here are two different fairy hair in my garden, the bigger one is a little behind
Re: Acer palmatum 'Fairy hair'
I really like this tree. it has great color and a great look. When people see it in the big size, they have to take it home.
here is a Fairy Hair planted in mostly sun
added fall colors of 2011
That's a Fairyhair! I saw it in the background of another shot and thought it was a Koto no ito and thought it big then.
I was at Buchholz today with my youngest son Lev so I had him stand in front of the Fairy Hair to show its scale.
That is one beautiful tree and one very handsome young man!
yeah, i was going to say, what a fabulous specimen, and the tree's nice too.
I never knew that cultivar existed. really spectacular. If i ever plant another JM, that's the one I'll look for.
Not much recent activity in this thread so hopefully I can change that over the coming years.
I received this yesterday and I'm totally in love with it. Sorry about the chair, just seemed a good way to highlight the fineness of the leaves without them getting lost in the background
A few pics of my Fairy Hair as it starts to pick up it's autumnal colours.
Seems to be a tricky one to photograph this one.
Fairy Hair looking as delicate as ever.
Looking lovely now N, I will watch this thread with great interest to see how it goes over the years.
Fair Hair this morning, worries me this one, the way the leaves curl I keep thinking it's burning, it isn't but it can give that impression.
Ahh sleepless nights over our little ones out there all alone... lol. I know the feeling well N. But do not worry, it looks perfect.
Fairy Hair this morning with raindrop bling.
That's an amazing photo N. Bet that's saved in your folder !!!?
In the sunshine this time.
Coming along nicely, much tougher than it looks this cultivar, it took lots of sun last year with no damage and has just endured the recent strong winds again without damage, could do with a comb though, lol
