Hello Robert.I really like this golden autumn color of the leaves.I havent heard about this cultivar. Can you tell me a little more about this one?Like how the growthhabbit is and how tall this tree grows.I have a lot of maples in my garden and most have brilliant oranges and red colored leaves.I know about acer palmatum"golden pond" that is supposed to have yellow leaves as well but that one grows a bit to large for me. Patrick
Our 'Elegans' has variable fall color, usually somewhere between a blend of yellows and oranges, but some years with quite a bit of red.
Smith {1874}. Strongly branched vigorous tree, H 15' x W 24' { H 5m. x W 8m.} in about 20 years. In full sun. Variable fall colours here, also. Pics 1 and 2 taken Oct. 23/07. Pic 3 taken Oct.29/07. Pic 4 - Nov.7/07, predominantly yellow.
@LoverOfMaples, good morning D, lots of potential there, a lovely shape to be worked. I'm watching this one closely.
