My 5 year old acer, Inabe shidare, has what looks like white 'mold' on the new emerging leaves. Some of the small leaf stems have a black, rotten looking spot and a few of these little stems have wilted and died. It has been growing happily, though slowly, and has never had any problems until this spring. Any suggestions as to what it might be and treatment? Thanks
A pic would be great like like Paxi said. But it could be powdery mildew... A good fungicide (SERENADE) also many others should slow/control it.
