I recently acquired a substantial specimen. Some history:

"This maple was discovered by J.Vermeulen and Sons in Neshanic Station, NJ. in a row of "Burgundy Lace". A normal palmate leaf with a blend of soft red and green. A strong full upright tree. Fall colors are spectacular!! Red, yellow, orange, and green on the same tree and leaves. Very limited. "Burgundy Lace" was also discovered by J. Vermeulen."
