So healthy Xi. Very happy both of them.
Now that Beni Shigitatsu Sawa has woken up, it's doing its best to make up for lost time earlier in the spring. Lots of colour changes as those leaves fill out.

11th May 2022 and my Beni shigitatsu sawa showing some good promise for this season.

27th May 2022 and my Beni shigitatsu sawa that gets a lot of shade to protect those delicate leaves. I probably should give it a little more light, but I worry about burning.

I compared to a photo I took almost one year ago on this thread -- by 3 July 2021 Beni had already gone red; this year the same tree is drab green with some red growth. How bizarre!

11th November 2022 and this what the drought and extreme heat has done to my Beni shigitatsu sawa leaves this Autumn.
Quite strange but pretty in its own way.
