This is a nice dissectum with good vigor. This plant was a summer graft from 2004, but showing a gread deal of new growth this year. The very fine foliage makes this a nice specimen with similarities to Ruby Lace and Red Filigree Lace. Photos today 6/10/05.

    Fall color shot--11/5/2005
I have tried to get wider shots of this plant, but almost everyone of them turns out blurry or the leaves blend into the background. Of all my maples, this one is the hardest to photograph.

Just one more fall photo: 11/10/05

It is so rare that I get a shot of the near whole tree that is not blurry!! One of my favorites.

This finely cut dissectum reminds me of a darker version of Emerald Lace. I suspect it's a slow grower and I hope it is. It will lend a soft texture to the garden.
