Chinese maple. Looks like palmatum but bigger leaves. Ssp of campbelli. Can be grafted on palmatum. More info here
Nice sturdy maple. The leaves are heavier and thicker than A. palmatum. I find that oliverianum holds up better to the wind than palmatum. Nice purple tinge in the sun as Andre picture's show. Here is a fall shot taken last week.
