I have a 5 year old Acer Negundo Flamingo. The leaves are brownish tinged & falling off. What is the problem and can I save this very attractive tree? Please advise.

Pictures would help enormously. Is the tree in the ground or a pot? I assume the soil & roots are NOT DRY, right?
Are there signs of life like green buds? Is there any blackening on the stem by the soil or on the trunk and stems which
would indicate pathology? Are the small ends of branches black or wrinkled?
    Help us with feedback.
    Good luck.
