I really like my Aconitifolium. I have had it for about 4 years now. It is in a few hours of full sun and full shade for the rest of the day which it handels fine. It is in a windy location which causes leaf-burn come fall unfortunately.
Happy new year to you too D. Yes, fortunately we still have our pictures to get us through the winter and lockdown.
Its the 16th February 2021 and the buds are swelling very nicely indeed. Much warmer weather than we have been experiencing lately, so I'm not sure if it will last or we will get knocked back again.
It was lovely to chat to some new members on PM's the other day, one of the questions was, can I post more of my early Spring photos to show their progression ? So here goes on the 25th March 2021. Frozen water droplets on opening buds, not good!!!
1st of May 2021 and a very droopy Aconitifolium in my garden this morning. Time will tell if the frosts have really got to it.
27th June 2021 and the second flush is underway on my Aconitifolium. Almost Spring like in appearance.
11th July 2021 and my Aconitifolium is doing quite well now after a very difficult start to the Spring.
21st May 2022 and my Aconitifolium doing so much better this year. New growth being put out everywhere.
25th May 2022 and before I start my Summer prune, or Chelsea chop as it is often called. My Aconitifolium is pushing out new shoots everywhere.
