To any moderator, why can't we access great links to past accomplishments? I tried to access Durgan's 08 Garlic and could not due to 198 days since thread was accessed. I highly suggest we not close such important details as these which assist so many growers with educational step by step ways to grow successfully.
No Ron that is called weeding we keep the good stuff and sell or give away what is no longer needed. Usually one copy of everything is held at National libraries and specialist repositories. Wonder if there is a way to weed and keep the usefull material. Liz
Ah, had this been posted to the feedback section, I would have caught it sooner. Almost all content (with the exception of a few that I've come across and were clearly outdated / broken links / etc.) that has been posted to the site remains on the site. There is no 198 day limit to viewing -- or for that matter, replying. You may have come across a notification when trying to reply to something that the thread was old, but you could still click the little check box and reply. This was put in place because a few people had started to reply to old threads.
And, I just had a look at the thread that I think you were pointing out. Indeed, the URL on Durgan's site is broken, but that is something that Durgan will have to fix on his web server. If he chooses not to do it, then I guess I have to spend ~ 8-10 hours looking through all of Durgan's old threads to see if there are broken URLs.
I hope those 8-10 hours are not asking much? Kidding. His documented work is immense. He contributes much to the forum. Shoot him an email telling him he is on probation if he does not fix it:)
