I am working on weeding and slowly ridding our backyard of the pests. Help me identify these plants:

#1 is pretty tall, 4 feet I'd say.
#2 is everywhere and I'm wondering if it was from the whirly bird maple seeds that came down all over in the spring
    #3 No clue!

    All in Northern Virginia.

A weed, a tree and a plant walk into a bar...

    You make up the rest.

#3 is pokeweed, Phytolacca americana. Its a perennial.

The plant has a few drinks then goes on his way, the tree orders his drinks and stays a long time, and the weed gets kicked out but keeps coming back for more!!

Ohhh pokeweed, why do you visit me every year? Well, now I know what it looks like early, instead of waiting for the berries. Thanks!!
