We have recently discovered a peach that might be known as a Chinese Peach, or something to that effect. It is somewhat flat and the meat is almost white and juicy. It is the sweetest fruit this side of paradise!

Can someone please tell us the name of this type of peach, where we can buy a couple of trees, and also if it's possible to grow from a pit?

We are in the Western North Carolina area.

Your feedback will be most appreciated.

Buy a grafted named cultivar from a nursery, after determining that peaches are worth attempting in your climate (try North Carolina Cooperative Extension).

Flat peaches are being sold as donut peaches in markets here.

Thank you so much, we'll follow your advice. This area may or may not be good for growing peaches, but we only want a couple of trees for our own enjoyment so we feel that it's worth a try..... So donut peaches, huh?
