My cousin lives in South Australia but has turned to me to help identify this plant in her garden. I think it looks like it may be some sort of bud. The plant bloomed at the start of the South Australian spring. To grow there it likely tolerates dry soil and hot days. Any help would be appreciated. One photo is of the buds. The other two are the flowers.
