I have a plant that I believe is a yucca of some type but am not sure.

It is an untended portion of the yard under the apple tree and has just flowered for the first time in the 8 years we've been here. I'm sorry for the poor pictures.

I tried to get a solid pic of the leaf but couldn't. It's triangular shaped through the entire length with the triangle points having these little tiny spikes along the entire length of the leaf as well.

It's kind of buried in some blackberries right now as you can see, but I would like to know how to care for it and keep it healthy as the flowers are quite pretty. I live in the Pacific Northwest and we get a lot of rain in this area so I'm not sure how that would affect this type of plant.

    Thank you for any help.

Thank you!! I'll do some more research on it to see if I can get it to thrive. I've always noticed the leaves there but this is the first year it's bloomed.

Time to clear off the blackberries and get some food on it.

    Thank you again!

It really needs full sun - it is probably the shade from the apple that has stopped it from flowering for so long. Try moving it to a sunnier spot, ideally somewhere that also has well-drained soil.
