There are six bushes one is producing fruit now. 664 grams were obtained. Currants are difficult to pick, so I made a mesh scraper to facilitate fruit removal. A one inch mesh plastic is placed over a container and the branch is scraped along knocking off the fruit. It works reasonably well, since the berries do not fall off. They cling to the branch and literally have to be pulled slightly to be released. The fruit is very nutritional. A welcome addition to a home garden.
