My friend inherited a plant from her grandmother that is over 40 years old. It looks like a large plant like the one in the picture, with smaller plants all around it. This is one of the surrounding plants. Both my friend and I are curious what this plant is. Thanks for your help.
Hi there. I'm gathering info for a talk on low light houseplants and this is one I've not seen very much lately. Sansevieria trifasciata "Hahnii". It is a short form of Mother-in-law's tongue or Snake Plant.
The correct name is Sansevieria trifasciata 'Hahnii'. It was named for the grower Sylvan Hahn. Cultivar names are represented in single quotation marks not double.
