In The Garden: 3 foot plant, red flowers - what is it?

    Can anyone identify this plant? Leaves are similar to a pine tree or paeonia tenuifolia

    Looks like standing cypress, Ipomopsis rubra. We have the same plant here in East Texas.

    That looks like it. Thanks so much. It is native to Ontario, apparently, but I can't recall ever having seen one before.
