The seeds are planted in the pot all helter skelter. The roots are intertwined and must be separated for planting. The separation must be done carefully to limit root damage.

All the green part had fallen over and was soft. Nineteen pounds were obtained a total of 24 bulbs. The smallest was 298 grams and the largest 477 grams. I ate half an onion and the heat was barely perceptible, which was my aim in growing them.
