City Nature Challenge (iNaturalist) Capital Region (South Vancouver Island) April 28-May 2, 2023 https://www.crd.bc.ca/education/protection-stewardship/biodiversity NOTE: While I think these are good events to help connect folks with nature, my past pleas to various municipal organizations to include messaging to participants to engage in respectful behaviours (front and centre so that they will be read) have evidently gone unheard. If you are participating in this event, remember to avoid harassing / trampling organisms, disturbing ground nests etc ... basically you can avoid being a stress on the critters by being aware and intentional, thoughtful around your actions. For some of these, they are already coping with the stress of our city environs and don't need more worries.
