1,500-Year-Old Antarctic Moss Brought Back to Life
Great news for the moss control industry! It turns out that this stuff is pretty much indestructible. And yet, they have convinced people to try to get rid of at great expense on an annual basis.
Junglekeeper: Thanks for posting this article. I wanted to but my computer is stuck-on-stupid and wouldn't let me!

Funny, over here in Sweden there are science-based products created to poison and kill moss in our lawns because in Spring it is like a weed in the lawn.
To be honest I never think of moss as dead, so I am not at all surprised by this. Where I come from in the desert regions of SoCal, mosses on rock are dead looking and charcoal or black coloured. Open your water bottle and slowly pour water on the dried dead looking patches and they spring to life almost instantly to a bright green with the foliage fresh and lush looking.
