Hi. I am trying to identify this tree which was not intentionally planted in the yard. It is incredibly prolific, and we are having a tough time weeding it out. I'm sure this is an invasive species to Arizona. Does anybody know what it is?
It looks a bit like the plant that is from Sth Africa and for the life of me I can't remember it's name. All I know is that it grows very fast has wattle like flowers as in Acacia and the bean type pods in yr pics. It is also very invasive here in Oz. Just remembered I think it was called Cape wattle http://images.google.com.au/images?...=countryAU&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi Liz
Sorry, I don't remember what the flowers looked like. For now though, Leucaena leucocephala seems to fit nicely. Thanks for the help everybody.
