I am looking to put an Apricot tree in the yard and I was wondeing if anyone is Zone 3 has one and could give me some advise. Also do you need 2 of them. I have 3 Apple Trees as well as Saskatoons in the same area that it will be planted in. Thank you in advance.

The May 2005 issue of Canadian Gardening has an article on Apricots. You should be able to photocopy it at your local library. To summarize though, varieties 'Harcot', 'Morden 604', and 'Westcot' are recommended for zone 3 and those particular varieties should be self fertile.
