Hey everyone - I'm a plant ignoramous. I have collected a number of plants from friends/neighbours over the years (see the photos) ... and I have no idea how to care for them. This is because I have no idea what requirements each individual plant has.

Can you help me identify what these plants are so that I can do a better job of keeping them healthy? Thanks in advance!

1 and 7 look to be Dracaena fragrans Massangeana (corn plant)

    2. Looks to be another kind of Dracaena with tips cut off leaves.

3.Some type of aloe maybe (not real sure)

    4. Pachira

    5. Hoya carnosa. Needs a much smaller pot, maybe 3"-4" They do well in a hanging basket.

    6.Dracaena, not sure which one.

    8. Dracaena marginata

All Dracaena's do well in bright indirect light, sun can burn the leaves. Water well when dry.
The aloe? Or succulent likes some sun, water when dry.
The Pachira I never owned, so I can't help you with that one.
The hoya needs indirect bright light and just a little sun is ok too for this one. water well when soil dries.

One thing no one ever mentions is the fact that Dracaenasdo not tolerate fluoride in their water well. It almost always causes the edges of the leaves to 'burn'.
Always check with your local water supplier to get the fluoride level of your drinking water as many places add it to the water supply.
