climbing hydrangea

    i have a climbing hydrangia, doing beautifully, but it is on the wooden wall of a garage. will the self clinging ability that this vine has damage the wood? buteheather

    Yes, the wood might eventually get funky underneath the stems - or need to be painted or repaired, at which time the network of stems would be in the way and have to be pulled off.

    thank you Ron B; 97988. i was afraid of that. and will now have to remove it. would it grow against a chain link fence?

    Yes, I think it can grow up that, although solid surfaces usually what is used.
