    That's it! Thank you so much. These came up a few years ago after we had a herd of escaped pigs come through. They turned up everything in the yard surrounding the house and apparently these had been buried deep. Great to be able to put a name to a face!

    I just this minute posted a reply with the same URL as you did, in reply to an earlier query. It was definitely the same plant. Maybe these spider lilies are taking over your continent!
