Identification: Help ID'g this plant

    This is not a true bonsai but it is cute. A customer gave it to me after I made a service call to fix her water heater.

    Any idea what it is? She had no idea but had many of them.

    Myrtus communis is my guess.

    Thank you for your reply. I guess we shall see what the flowers look like. I didn't notice the buds.

    I googled Myrtus communis, crushed one of the leaves but don't really notice a fragrance.

    It resembles some of our Australian Syzygium species, especially S. australe.

    it could also be a eugenia. they look like mrytle but have no scent.

    Thank you for your replies. Couldn't really verify thru googling what the plant is. Photos were not really good. Perhaps after it flowers I will be able to get a better fix on what it is.
