ID please. This tree or something grows down by my stream, the leaves are very shinny. The tallest one is about 15 feet. There is only one patch of them. As you can see the leaves are as big as my hand. Any help would help. P.S. never see a flower yet, but my husband has been here for 17 years now and no flowers yet.
I think that your tree is in fact a pawpaw (Asimina triloba). They grow here in Ohio, shaded by taller trees. Big leaves indeed: these turn yellow early in fall. Blossoms in late spring---fruit is 4-6" long, ripens in fall. This is edible, with a banana-ey flavor.
