What sort of plant is this ?

    My son, who raises snakes, says it looks like a clutch of hatched eggs on cypress mulch. But...I know that is not the answer to the question LOL

    Gee, I have no idea what the plant is... looks like a big ol nast slug had its way with it though, or a horse with a very bad cold.

    Like the above answer of horse with cold :)

    Ok is it a puff ball type fungus that is growing in horse manure with straw and someone has burst it and meanwhile the slugs have come for a visit......ugh it looks pretty ordinary what er it is.

    AFter seeing that second picture I was pretty sure it was a clutch of hatched eggs.
    So the snake layed it's eggs on a plant...hmmm.....now that is a hard one.

    OK , One last Pic before I give it away.
    It was a type of Garden Mulch the Carpet Snake / Python used for a nest ?
    Incubation took 65 days.

    Michael F, Has done it again .
    Here on the Gold Coast they don't Burn Sugar Cane any more .
    A machine cuts the tops off , and they bail it up and sell it to Us gardeners .
    These Big rolls of mulch cost $50 each . Some farmers feed them to their cattle .
