I have a purple heart at home and the leaves are turning all pinkish and dry if some one can help tell me what i'm doing wrong i'd be very appreciated thanks

Is your plant outside? Where are you located climate wise? My purple heart is outside in the ground, and it looses it's leave each fall, and I then cut it back before spring.

it's in a south facing window indoors

 

You don't say how you are watering, if it's rootbound and how long it's been since it was cut back. The older leaves tend to turn pink and dry out. It's best to cut it back from time to time to 'refresh' it. Careful watering is also important when grown in pots.
